The Rose Hill

Outside!
An old, traditional looking pub on the corner of an ordinary, quiet residential street.

Inside!

Somewhere a blurry purple version of me can rock the stage with some ramshackle cacophonic toe-tapping musical attempts, hopefully not sounding as bad as Kate's recording from the last time I played there

I'm assuming you don't need to hear the whole thing.

(I'll make sure the microphone isn't placed on top of the PA speaker next time)

More listenable, and with substantially less bass, is this early footage of me tackling the same tune, possibly when playing there for the first time...

Also of Great Historical Importance...

The meet-up-for-one-weekend-a-year-to-write-and-record-an-album's-worth-of-music collective Les Denis recorded an LP there back in 2021!

Here's an action video I shot of us recording in the basement studio...

And just when you thought music couldn't get more exciting, here's a short blast of my finest rock vocals on the final version...

(I don't ordinarily think of myself as a rock singer but when you're singing about emotional topics like tassels, tinsel and satchels, it's impossible to stop one's inner Bono bursting forth)

If you want more of that and other delights, you can listen to the full song and album
